Wood and plastic bases, which flex and move, do not provide solid pump mounting area which can lead to noise and leaks. Difficult to use mortar which is code required. 4. Flex pipe and flex/rigid combination-meets no building codes. Sags and traps water which can lead to odor, bacterial growth and leaking. Flex pipe is not warranted for failure due to termite or insect damage. 5. Customer service - extremely difficult to get technical help.
