It's
Your Responsibility
Inspecting
your new Watertech Whirlpool Bath unit prior to installation
is the responsibility of the installer/building contractor
who acts on behalf of the owner/user. You and your installer/building
contractor are responsible for ensuring the unit is
free of defects or damage.
Notices
are placed on and in the the unit and shipping carton
advising the installer of this responsibility. In the
event of a problem, the unit must NOT be installed.
Watertech is NOT responsible for defects or damage that
could have been discovered, repaired or avoided by proper
inspection and testing of the unit prior to installation
(see installation instructions). The tub must be checked
thoroughly upon delivery for any damage that may have
occurred during shipping and handling.
Damage
incurred in shipping is the responsibility of the CARRIER.
In many instances, Watertech delivers its line of whirlpool
baths on our own trucks to ensure proper handling and
delivery of the product. Regardless of company carrier
or common carrier shipping, it is your responsibility
to inspect the unit upon delivery prior to signing the
acceptance in good condition section of the invoice.
If damage is detected, it must be reported to Watertech
immediately and in the case of common carrier, to the
carrier in writing with a request for an inspection.
Failure of the carrier to respond should be reported
to Watertech and the common carrier company. Your freight
claim should be filed promptly thereafter.
Damage
occurring to the unit during or after installation is
the responsibility of the installer and/or building
contractor.
Remember,
the user/installer must open the crate and inspect the
unit for damage when it is delivered. If the unit is
damaged it is YOUR responsibility to report damage immediately
to your Watertech Whirlpool Bath distributor and/or the freight company. DO NOT sign
the freight bill if damage is found.
Pre-test
your tub BEFORE placing it in your bathroom. Your Watertech
Whirlpool Bath goes through rigorous testing at the
factory but shipping and handling sometimes damages
the units or works the pipe system loose. Therefore,
after receiving your tub and before moving the unit
into your bathroom to install, place the tub in an area
where water spillage can occur (driveway, garage or
basement with a drain, etc.). Fill the tub with water
to about 2-3 inches above the jets. Plug the motor into
an outlet. While the motor is running, check all pipe
and pipe fittings for moisture (the best way to do this
is by taking a piece of Kleenex tissue and rub it over
all pipes and fittings. Any moisture means there is
leakage at that fitting).
Watertech
is NOT responsible for damage that could have been discovered,
repaired, or otherwise avoided by proper inspection
and testing prior to installation. Again, damage to
the unit during or after installation is the responsibility
of the installer/building contractor.
